Emmanuel,

I made a backup of the database, copied it over to the new server, and
imported it. Changed the necessary variables in the localconfig file. If I
run checksetup.pl I get the below error. I'am using version 5.0.6 of
Bugzilla. Any idea on how to fix this.

Bugzilla now uses the InnoDB storage engine in MySQL for most tables.
Converting tables to InnoDB:
Converting table groups... DBD::mysql::db do failed: You have an error in
your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server
version for the right syntax to use near 'groups ENGINE = InnoDB' at line 1
[for Statement "ALTER TABLE groups ENGINE = InnoDB"] at Bugzilla/DB/Mysql.pm
line 391, <DATA> line 747.

Bugzilla::DB::Mysql::bz_setup_database('Bugzilla::DB::Mysql=HASH(0x1f65070)'

'2.21.1+' sounds like a snapshot of 2.21.1 with a number of changes added to
it. I have no idea what '+mspd' means.

FTR, your database schema should look like this:

an.fr%2Fbugzilla%2Fschema%3Faction%3Dsingle%26version%3D2.21.1%26view%3DView

There shouldn't be any need to update to an intermediary version.
Whatever version you install will update the database schema to match.
