Milestones *are* useful, much more than all these meta bugs which are 
often created because some developer or user is interested in keeping 
track on some specific feature and wants a way to quickly find them. But 
now that we can tag bugs, this makes meta bugs pretty obsolete in most 
cases.

Moreover, you always have to remember to block the "milestone" bug, and 
more important, to remember what its ID or alias is. Pretty annoying and 
prone to errors.

About deadlines, you can add milestones such as "2007-01-18" if you want to.
