Yes, I remember that email. It still doesn't give me good non-contrived
use cases -- just a general idea that people may want to modify
something to betteer suit someone. 

My pushing for a use case is because I want to understand if your
"end-user-oriented" skins would limit themselves to changing style or if
they would go further and hack custom templates as well (and I think
it's the latter, but let's see).
