There's no call to start worrying about attachment statuses.  All that's
necessary is to post notification here.

And as for per-component, I don't recall having heard of it, so it can't
have been raised to much.  I don't read *every* message, but if there
was a thread for each enhancement design, it would go a long way to
ensuring everyone knows about everything.
