Looking for product migration tools

Is it possible to copy a product to a new product maintaining all of the
infrastructure without the bugs?  I have a new product under development
that is based on an earlier version with a lot of components,
sub-components, etc.  I went through the various links - most are dead or
nonsensical.  Seems this would be a useful tool to have.
