Unconfirmed status

I’m having some difficulty using the ‘Unconfirmed’ status in Bugzilla. I was recently asked to enable unconfirmed on one of our products, which I eventually managed to do (the instructions seemed quite inadequate). Everything seemed to be ok for a number of weeks until this morning when I went to create a new bug on a different product and was greeted with the message: ‘No bug status is available on bug creation.’

The only way I can get around this is to enable the unconfirmed status for this product (in fact, it appears to have happened on a number of products). I am the only Bugzilla admin in our team and I have certainly not changed anything for some weeks. I suppose it’s possible someone else has been messing around as we don’t especially worry about security, having very few users. However, I can’t work out how to put this right. I really don’t want to be using unconfirmed on this product at the moment. Can you help me sort this out?
