Hi,

My mail is waiting approval because I sent a screenprint. Here is the same
but now in text form, so it will probably not be rejected because of the
size.

Just installed mysql 5.7.34, after running checksetup.pl it starts to
convert the database, here it runs into an error, any idea on how to solve
this?

This is from our recent upgrade notes.  Eventually we realized this wasn't
fixable, so we tried downgrading to 8.0.19, which IIRC was just before the
GROUPS keyword was introduced.  But then we ran into other issues.

So we gave up on v8 and downgraded to MySQL 5.7.30, which seems to work well
enough.  We recently upgraded to 5.7.34 and it's still working.

This is a known issue: Starting with MySQL 8 the term "groups" is a keyword
and needs to be quoted, which is Bugzilla is not doing currently. You need
to use an older MySQL or MariaDB/PostgreSQL instead. There has been some
work to quote those terms, but I'm not sure in which branch which state is
available. Better use a released Bugzilla with a compatible DB-engine.
