Marking comments as valid/invalid or positive/negative

Here's a random idea for a new feature, after reviewing comment #197 in
a bug...
When resolving issues, you may find that you draw wrong conclusions, or
follow wrong paths in identifying the problem. It may be beneficial if
one could be marking comments as invalid/negative or valid/positive.
Even if this is done on a per-user basis (not publicly visible), it may
help one come back to their personal checkpoint in that decision tree.
It may also be useful if one could compare their decision tree with
others, or the public one (if a public one is made available as a
feature).
Thoughts (or other dreams?)
