I would happily agree with you. Except that it's not the IE users that
suffer. It's the Bugzilla administrators who find their Bugzilla on spam
blacklists, and their databases filled with rubbish.
If Bugzilla attachment URLs in spam still work for a substantial
proportion of internet users, spammers will continue to use them, and
the problem will not be solved. It might be that making them not work in
Firefox/Opera/Safari is enough - but I don't think there's any way to be
sure of that.
