I would like to add (since I'll be in a company meeting), that it seems to me that we ought to support custom fields that require valid values for other fields (custom or otherwise). In other words, a rudimentary way to add business logic to custom fields (like the fixed_in_rev and fixed_in_stage, field may be changed only when the bug_status is being changed to or is now RESOLVED, or cleared when the status goes from REOPENED, or when the status is set to PENDING, that the pending_status field is set).

It's unclear that I'll be able to attend this meeting in any significant way. I'm at a conference this week and will be attending a tutorial all morning. But my next two priorities for custom fields in 2.24 are:
1. enhancing the command-line tool so that it can list and delete custom fields;
2. adding support for boolean custom fields.
