backporting minor UI changes to keep QA scripts working

Click the link "2.20 -> today". The list is pretty long! Security fixes 
only is for the 2.18 branch. 2.20 still accepts usual bug fixes. Which 
is the reason why the list is so long.

Yeah... I'm not going to change *any* word, except some lowercase <-> 
uppercase changes. I think the number of affected words can be counted 
with one hand only (from what I have seen so far).
