We have done, at Async, a number of Bugzilla customizations that support
this type of workflow:
- Links to allow for easy creation of "child" bugs
- Forms to allocate and summarize time invested in a certain bug subtree
- Scripts that mass-create bugs attached to parents based on CSV
files
There may be more; I'd need to check.
I think it would be easy to break the dependencytree template up and
allow displaying dependencies of a bug in the same page; it would be a
matter of deciding whether that is a good idea.
We'd be happy to contribute or share these.
