Am I the only one who finds it amusing that you selectively (and
appropriately) quoted the relevant material?
You know... so you could respond to it and we'd know what the hell you're
talking about?
(Yes, you can ignore the irony that I quoted way more material than I was
responding to... but I did it on purpose to show the usefulness of your
quoting. You would've had to have written two emails to make it entirely
clear what you were responding to; alternatively, you could've gone the
attribution route, but that can become a huge problem when discussions
become heated.)
As Chicks said, Joel *always* provides food for thought. Unfortunately,
Joel also always thinks Joel's right (huh.... that's a familiar observed
trait). And Joel isn't always right, because Joel doesn't always have all
of the requirements.
"Because Joel said we should" is a really bad reason to do anything.
