looking for a way to backup and/or remove a product from the bugs -database

dear all,

i'm looking for a way to backup and/or remove all entries from the
bugs-database
which are belonging to a given product.
i'm not a sql-specialist, so i would be glad if there are any ready-to-run
scripts ;-))
