Cleaning series_data

Hi,

I am currently preparing a Bugzilla migration. Unfortunately,
migrating the data takes several hours, mainly due to the table
series_data being converted to InnoDB (6-8 hours) and to UTF8 (same).

Is it possible to purge this data before the migration and run
"collectstats.pl --regenerate" afterwards? If so, what do I need to
do? My guess is that I need at least to purge other tables too.
