80-character comments: does it matter?

I just wanted to point out that the comment input text field has never wrapped at 80-characters for me on Mac OS X, using both Safari and Chrome.  Also, the font is not monospaced in the text field (even though it is in the existing comments).  Perhaps it's a Webkit thing?

P.S. I'm a lurker without having actually done any Bugzilla development, but I wanted to put this out there since nobody has mentioned it yet...
