Hey folks! So we released 3.2 today (yay!) and that means that
the Bugzilla 3.4 freeze will be on Thursday, January 29, 2009.
It will work the same as the Bugzilla 3.2 freeze. We will
branch for 3.4, and the 3.4 branch will be locked down to bug fixes
while the trunk stays open for new features. In reality, this means
that we usually don't branch for a few weeks, until there's some major
new feature that needs to be checked into the trunk.
Note that this freeze will happen no matter what the 3.4
codebase looks like, or how many new features we have at that time. The
goal is to have smaller releases that come out more quickly.
In order to have enough time for people to test our development
releases and give feedback, I want to release a 3.3.1 within the next
two weeks.
