Distributed Bug Tracking

LWN this week has an interesting article on Distributed Bug Tracking, 
and new projects in that area:

(Their journalism is generally this good; do consider subscribing. It's 
only $60 US per year at "professional hacker" level, or half that at 
"starving hacker".)

Should Bugzilla be moving in a direction which makes it more 
distributed? Or are offline storage clients the right solution to the 
"guy on a plane" problem?
