I'm going to be looking to convert (and spruce up) a lot of the 
documentation to work with xmlto as a build system over the next month 
or so... but I'm looking to commit stuff to a branch rather than the 
trunk as I go along (since, every other time I've done this, it's gone 
wrong).

Should I be just using a tag/branch in CVS or should I look to use bzr 
or something else to do it?

If CVS, what tag/branch should I use?
