Afraid, both of you misread each-other's text. 
Joost think it's browser-specific, you think it's project specific. BTW,
mozilla's approach is a good one. And worth to incorporate it with
EASILY tunable details.

I'd like to see different of them based on users role (for the default)
AND personal preferences.

PS. Timeless, sorry for keeping this flame burning, but this *might*
result in some vision of directions of future development, IMO. If not,
I'll shut up.
