I think it's important to name them, and think of them as people first.
Just as you know me as "Gerv", not as "Mozilla Foundation employee #2",
you'll get to know and love Mitch, the coder, and Peter, his manager :-)

Also, just as you use unique IDs for bugs because all other things about
them may change, defining personas by name means that if we decide that
Mitch needs modifying in some way, there's no danger that we'd need to
change his name to fit his new description.
