I was always leaning towards FAD myself when this was initially proposed 
years ago, if only because it meant less hassles with schema changes. 
My only concern with it is performance.  It seems like FAC would have 
better performance in queries (less complicated joins), but then, with 
proper multi-column indexes, I guess the joins should still be just as 
quick.

Has there been any good performance analysis on which one would actually 
work faster?
