Is there any chance of more of a heads-up about this sort of change, 
given that it automatically obsoletes every patch which modifies the 
schema?

I spent a few hours last night updating the patch on bug 73665 so you 
can review it, and instead you appear to have checked something in which 
breaks it... I would laugh, but given that I'm now on the 10th iteration 
of the patch, the joke is wearing a little thin. So I'm just smiling :-).

Please a) could we have a bit more warning about patch-breaking patches, 
and b) could you review my patch? :-)
