Possible new class of bugs

TT treats hash keys beginning with "_" or "." as private, and templates 
can't access them:

This caused
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284650

Anyone with a moment to spare could perhaps start defining lots of 
things (products, components etc.) that begin with those two chars and 
see what breaks...
