Kevin,
Thank you for offering to help out. I am receiving the following error
message when running 'checksetup.pl':

Precompiling templates ...
/usr/bin/perl: relocation error:
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.
so: undefined symbol: mysql_init

I have attempted to include below several pieces of information regarding my
installation attempt including the full text of the 'checksetup.pl' run.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
