I also see this error message:

Can't locate object method "png" via package "GD::Image" at 
/usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/Chart/Base.pm line 265.


The error only appears the first time you access the page. Then, I think 
Apache remembers that it displayed the error already and doesn't bother 
you with it again (well, I suppose it's Apache. The same behavior 
appears when you insert a die() somewhere... it only appears the first 
time).

I can reproduce the error on landfill on our QA installations, where 
collectstats.pl is running daily, so it's not related to running it or not.

I cannot reproduce on my local installations though, so it's specific to 
landfill.
