2.18rc3 push

Just a heads up, it'd be really cool to get 2.18rc3 out this weekend.

There's a number of bugs still on the RC list that need to be knocked 
off first.  Since we're hoping this will be the last RC before final, we 
really do need to kill off the entire list before we ship this time.

I am back from my travels, and mostly settled back in at home, so I 
should be around a little more again for approvals and so forth (and you 
can still pick on Myk, too, if I'm not fast enough for you).
