Feature Request: More customizable terms

I just reopened it myself.  The thought occurred to me that we already 
have all of the field names defined in variables in the templates 
already, so there's no slope to slip on.  It's just a matter of making 
the templates actually use those variables everywhere.  (And probably 
doing some kind of magic to keep the access keys making sense)
