My usual take so far is that you can't plan too far ahead with an all
volunteer team because there's no guarantee people will work on things in
any particular order.  People like to scratch their own itch.  So plan a
couple releases ahead, but be prepared to rearrange things if someone
suddenly starts working on something that wasn't targetted at the current
release.
