No, it's an essential feature for a project management tool. :-)

We've been of the view in the past that we don't want Bugzilla to turn 
into one of those. The initial time tracking implementation (as I said 
at the time) was the start of a slippery slope. This is the next step.

Given that we have time tracking, it does seem sensible to have a 
deadline field. But that's how a slippery slope works :-)
