yeah.

Lifetime of the branch. This has already been our policy with the 2.16
branch. The exceptions we made there were because of filtering
problems, which were security fixes.
We may make exceptions for the charting stuff for example (if that's
what you're asking), since we really wanted that, and it's likely to be
one of the last things the localizers would be translating anyway.
