How to perform CRUD Operations from perl script

Dear all,

 I was wondering whether there is a way to perform CRUD operations with
Bugzilla Database through a perl script. I would be grateful if any one
can provide the information or a piece of code for logging into Bugzilla
server-> registering a Bug -> retrieving the Bug ID which is registered
--> modify or update the bug report for the specified BUG ID..
programmitically with the help of perl script.
