2.16 -> 2.17 DB migration

Hi All,

Thanks for making bugzilla, first of all !

Basically, I've got two questions about the bugzilla database related to
2.16 -> 2.17 migration :

I've done some looking into the questions below, but haven't found an
answer. If some bugs are available
or there's documentation, pointers would be great.

Is the (core) database schema for 2.17 considered 'stable' at this point, or
are there more changes anticipated? 
(I still need to review the user defined fields patches) 

Secondly,  if the database -is- considered stable, I'm wondering if there is
any documentation or scripts available relating to migration of the bugzilla
database from the 2.16 schema (with 'groupset' permissions) to the 2.17
schema. 

Any help would be appreciated. 

I'm gradually looking through the code and docs, but it's second priority to
my second priority items at this point :)
