Pretty far since no string values could be stored there, but doing 
something that moves closer to a decent custom fields implemention seems 
like a Good Thing (TM) to me.  I don't really see this doing that, but I 
can understand why you ask the question.  At best fixing keywords/flags 
would be one less thing a real custom fields implementation would need to 
do.
