In fact, all the 'data' elements (including most of the configuration) should be database driven, thus creating a clearer separation of content and presentation.

Subject: data directory

For our customers we configure the servers to backup the database. There is a variety of schemes depending on what their requirements are. One thing I've wondered about are the pros and cons of placing the information currently living in the data directory into the mysql database. Are there reasons this won't work (in theory)?
