Urgent Help Needed Please

[usmle Prep]

We are using Bugzilla 2.16.1 version and extensively
use the e-mail interface, the data/mimedump-tmp
directory is growing leaps and bounds. Can we just
delete the files in that directory?? When I looked at
the mail box of bugzilla there are thousands of
e-mails from friday to now most of them saying
permission denied messages. It's a mail from bugzilla
to bugzilla. What could be wrong.Any help is greatly
appreciated.
I modified bugzilla_email_append.pl recently but even
after reverting to the older version the mailbox 
still getting bigger and bigger.
