I hope this isn't too disappointing, but I don't think there's much 
chance of either of these getting in. For all the fuss we are making 
about custom fields, that _is_ the right way to solve this problem, and 
I'm sure someone will get around to implementing them before too long. 
But in the mean time, we don't want to do anything which will make the 
job harder - and more fixed fields means that. Particularly given that 
you are the first person to ask for the two fields you are using, so 
they probably don't have wide applicability.
