Landfill attachment uploads

Shadow DB: I tried turning on the shadow DB in version 2.16.2 and the page
hangs and never get to the end where it loads the footer. Should I report
this as a bug? Or and I doing something wrong? Are there any more steps to
using a shadow db other then just turning it on in settings?
