I think the thread indicated that they plan to do
that, they just aren't there yet. I believe they are
headed in that direction for some of the reasons we've
been discussing. The folks that support those
projects primarily use C++ and Java (mostly Java). So
eventually it makes sense for them to move to a tool
written in Java, even if they end up writing it
themselves.
