Hi Joel,
I just finished updating to 2.17.3.
I want to thank you for responding and would very much appreciate that
patch.
I'll let you know if I find any problems with this patch on 2.17.3.
Thanks again
-Costa

Costa,
If you are using access groups for products, you will need to use
2.17.* which permits an arbitrary (well, 32000 anyway) groups.
Your categorization issue will require a bit of hacking, but I do
have a crude patch (against 2.17.1-ish code) that adds a field called
"Menugroup" to the product. When a user creates a bug, if they would be
able to enter bugs into products with more than one distinct menugroup,
then they are prompted to first select which menugroup. There are no
descriptions for the menugroups, but the names themselves can be
descriptive. If you start down the 2.17 path and want this, I can dust
it off and provide it to you. Since I would have to update it to the
current tip, please get your other steps out of the way before asking me
for this.
