I think that sounds very sensible. People would easily get the idea that 
single-sel and multi-sel are different data types (even if they share 
some implementation under the hood.)

Seriously, it's much easier to add and remove bits of a page from a 
CSS-based layout than a table, which needs rowspan and colspan 
adjustments, etc.
