Well, admins can definately abuse them. But people keep wanting
'version fixed in' fields, and so on. And a company which only make
swindow ssoftware doesn't need a platform field.

There are downsides, wrt searching, though (which is why the patches
attached to the relevent bug need lots of reworking before they go in).
And we can also simplify most of our code, combining
whiteboard/os/platform/etc into one generic bit of code.

That said, I'm unlily to be working on it, although I understand Zippy
wants it.
