bugzilla help needed - drop down 'Assigned To' Box

Hi,
I work for a fairly large company (Fortune 100). We are primarily a
mainframe based company using a tool called Infoman for our bug reporting
and handling. However lately there has been  a push to incorporate a web
based bug reporting tool and what better (and free) than Bugzilla. It will
be initially used by the team  I work in and will be rolled out in a
phased manner to other teams. And I have been chosen the Bugzilla
administrator!!!!!!
We right now use Bugzilla 2.14.2 and I have some customising questions.
I have defined a generic group so that nobody other than the users in the
grp can access bugs defined to that grp. Now, the requirement is when one
creates  a new bug all the users named in that grp will show in a drop down
box in the 'Assigned to' box. I am not conversant with Perl so  a little
hand holding will be greatly appreciated.
