Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly here.  We should do the same with the 
disabledtext on user accounts, too.  Both of those changes would make 
the SQL a lot simpler for determining if the system is shut down, too, 
in a cross-DB world.  Some databases aren't the greatest at detecting 
empty strings. :)
